• Scored his first IndyCar race victory in 2013 at the Grand Prix of Long Beach, and added two more pole positions – bringing his career total to five – in 2014.
• Challenged for victory at the 2012 Indianapolis 500, when he spun on the final lap while attempting to pass eventual victor Dario Franchitti for the win.
• Featured in several races in 2011, and was unlucky not to win at least one event. Dominated in changing conditions in both Brazil and New Hampshire. Qualified on the pole at Iowa and Edmonton.
• Made the jump from Formula 3 to Formula 1 in 2002 with Jordan Grand Prix. Continued in Formula 1 with several teams through 2008, with a best finish of third at the U.S. Grand Prix in 2004.
