• A four-time IndyCar Series champion and 2008 Indianapolis 500 winner, Dixon has 40 career Indy car victories and 23 poles from 270 race starts. Finished sixth in the 2016 championship with two wins.
• Indy car championships came in 2003, 2008, 2013 (both with Honda) and in 2015.
• Moved to the Indy Racing League with Chip Ganassi Racing midway through the 2002 season, and has remained with the team since then. Won his first IndyCar championship for the team in 2003 with three race victories.
• Will be starting his 17th consecutive season with Chip Ganassi Racing in 2018.
• Graduated to IndyCar racing from CART with PacWest Racing in 2001, winning at Nazareth in his first year and was named series Rookie of the Year. At the time, was the youngest winner in IndyCar history at 20 years, nine months, 14 days.

• Joined his father’s Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing organization for 2013, highlighted by a second-place finish at the Grand Prix of Long Beach in his first year, and another runner-up result at the Grand Prix of Detroit in 2014.
• Scored two wins and challenged for the IndyCar Series championship throughout the second half of 2015. Again led the Honda IndyCar effort in 2016, winning at Texas Motor Speedway; won twice in 2017, sweeping both rounds of the Detroit Grand Prix double header race weekend.
• Graduated to the Champ Car World Series with Newman Haas Racing in 2007, finishing fifth as a rookie. Became the youngest winner – and pole qualifier – in IndyCar Series history at the 2008 Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, at the age of 19 years, 93 days.
• Starting in karting, rose rapidly through the training ground ranks with his first title in 2003. Became the youngest driver to win a Star Mazda race in 2005 and scored five Formula Atlantic wins the following season, finishing second in the 2006 championship to future Honda-powered IndyCar driver Simon Pagenaud.
