• Has scored a victory or podium finish in every season of sports-car racing since 2004, highlighted by a victory in the 50th Rolex 24 at Daytona in 2012 with co-drivers A.J. Allmendinger, John Pew and Justin Wilson.
• Moved to sports-car racing in 2003 and joined Michael Shank Racing the following season, winning the Grand-AM “Rising Star” award that year. Scored his first Grand-AM race win in 2006 at Miller Motorsports Park.
• Won the Brazilian Formula 3 championship in 1990; went on to compete successfully in the British and Mexican Formula 3 championships through the mid-1990s.
